These need a rich, well manured, water
retentive plot. A dressing of fish meal
before planting will produce better
results. Sow the seed under glass from
January to March or outdoors in April to
May. This gives a succession of curds
for the table from early September to
late October. Plant out 18" apart, 18"
between rows. Keep well watered, liquid
feed twice to promote rapid growth, hoe
regularly. |
