Growing Tips
Peas
Peas need a well manured, deeply worked, weed free soil. Sow the
seeds in shallow trenches 3" deep and 8" wide in April to June
with three rows of peas to each trench spaced 3" apart each way.
The spacing between varieties can differ but even with tall
growing peas, providing they are staked up, you never need more
than 24" between each row. Sow at 14 day intervals for
successive crops from July to September. Keep weeds down. Stake
rows when seedlings are 3" high with twiggy branches. Water in
dry weather. Mulch between rows.
